do not compromise

Never Compromise

Never Compromise
Thomas H Czech

Merriam-Webster online: to make a shameful or disreputable concession <wouldn't compromise with their principles>
The bible, which is the word of God, our moral compass tells us and teaches us that we ought to never compromise our beliefs. The world however, is full of compromising; it actually teaches us to compromise. On many occasions I have heard people say, “Oh just let it go, it doesn’t really matter”, when it in reality does matter, especially when that something goes against my faith in Christ and the word of God.
Another example is going to bars or clubs which are party places for the demonic and breeding grounds for sin. “What is wrong with going out? I am just hanging out with friends” or “What is wrong with going dancing? I like dancing”. These are words of compromising, the pre-cursor of sin. Why would anyone want to go where demons dwell? Why would you want to put yourself in compromising positions where your entire witness to Christ can be destroyed because all you wanted to do was hang out with friends or have fun.
If your friends will not accept you or go with you to a place of your choosing other than a bar, then are they really your friends?
Another example is what one watches on television, internet or listens to. If it is not glorifying Christ then what or whom is it glorifying? It glorifies Satan. I have heard people say, “it is just a show, it doesn’t mean anything?” (Words of compromising and an attempt to justify, but God knows your heart and sees what you do, so you may lie to yourself but not to God).
You read what the dictionary definition of compromise is, here is my definition. Compromise is the pre-cursor of your destruction; Compromise is the same as death.
If a person truly loves the lord Jesus Christ then he/she will never compromise, actually the idea to compromise would not enter their mind and if it does, he/she would immediately shut it down and cast it away, because he/she would know that compromise leads to and in essence is death.
John 14:15-21 (New King James Version)
Jesus Promises Another Helper
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
So if you indeed love Christ, you will remain pure in His sight, and if you struggle, do not give in but instead pray and He come to you and give you the strength to overcome the pressure and the lure of sin.
Hebrews 10:26 (New King James Version)
The Just Live by Faith
26 For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
What does this mean? If you sin, knowing the truth, then you are not saved. Plain and simple.
So the word of God is clear when we read in: Colossians 3:5 (New King James Version)
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. (Fornication is sexual sin).
How do we put these things to death? The way to do this is through prayer, we pray that God gives us the strength to overcome; we know that Christ gave Himself up for our sins and took our sins from us so that we can live the life He wants us to live. We must surrender our entire being to Him whole heartedly. We know the truth, we know right from wrong so if we do something which we know is wrong, (compromise), then how can we be saved? Jesus died on the cross because of our sin, so every time we sin and ask for forgiveness again, it is as if He is nailed to the cross again. If we do love Jesus then how can we do this to Him?
Ask yourself today whom it is you serve, your friends? Worldly fun? Worldly possession?
Joshua 24:14-15 (New King James Version)
14 “Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

A decision has to be made. You can not continue to live in both worlds or serve two masters.
Remember that we can live the life Christ has for us as it is written in : Titus 3:5 (New King James Version)
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Remember that you are not alone on this journey, many have walked it before you and have been successful in doing so, and many walk with you today. So I ask that you remain holy and steadfast in your walk. Romans 12 Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

In the end when you stand before Christ, He can say to you: Matthew 25:21 (New King James Version)
21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

The journey on this earth is a short one, so it should not be difficult to say no to worldly things and not to compromise yourself and your faith in Christ, as long as we remember this and keep the finish line in our sights which is eternity with Christ, we can endure all things.
Remember:

John 14:6 (New King James Version)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

And:
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (New King James Version)
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

To compromise is never worth it. Stay strong and say no to the flesh and to things of this world. For eternity is indeed forever, and eternity with God and Christ is a reward worth striving for.
